My Review of Girl With Ghost Eyes

I researched End-of-Qing China in college and later worked in the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco where I had to learn the history of Chinatown. The amount of historical detail that goes into Girl With the Ghost Eyes is beyond admirable, even more so because all of that information doesn’t bog down the fast pace and intrigue. With the feel of 1990’s Hong Kong ghost/zombie movies, the story centers around Daoist Priestess Xian Li-Lin. She’s a compelling characters whose heart leads her into bad decisions– yet ones which ultimately come together in a satisfying ending.
